Arsene Wenger Says, Arsenal will Take off Again

Arsenal mangaer Arsene Wenger is confident of winning the Premier League title this season, despite the club I currently going though a rough patch at the league. He showed enough confidence to get over the patch. Though he admitted that his side lost four points against Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic, he was satisfied with Arsenal’s draw with Aston Villa. The coach also said that Arsenal would beat Manchester United away at Old Trafford on April 13, 2008. Arsenal was held to a 2-2 draw in the first round home match against United.

Canadian Press reported:

"Four points (have been) dropped in the last three league games. Against Aston Villa a point was just what we deserved but Birmingham and Wigan were four points dropped."

"You go through a patch like that and the negative is a deficit in points. But I am very confident we still have good chances to do it (win the league)."

Wenger is also confident Arsenal will beat United at Old Trafford on April 13 - one of the nine league games it has left. The two tied 2-2 at Emirates in November.

"They will not take all the points and we can go there and beat them," Wenger said.

Arsenal is now two points clear of second placed Manchester United which might not prove enough for Arsenal to hold on atop the league table if Manchester Unied wins htier next league match. Arsene Wenger side has confirmed their quarter final berth in Champions League recently after the inspirational 2-0 victory away at AC Milan, which saw off the title holders from the first knock out stage of the tournament. Arsenal could not impress at Carling Cup and FA Cup so far this season. So, the North London club is now chasing for Premier League and Champions League Doubles.
