No More Boring Football from Chelsea?

Among the 20 premier league teams, only Chelsea is still active to win all the silverwares come in their way through the season. Chelsea is going to take on Tottenham Hotspur this weekend in the Carling Cup final, while they have recently confirmed their quarter final place in FA Cup and stands third in the premier league with eight points behind the league leader Arsenal. They are active in Champions league as well. However, there are many who are not satisfied with their lackluster performance. It is true that they have been picking up three points consistently in premier league and winning the FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions league matches.

Fans are not happy because their performance was not that much impressive, though they have been successful in terms of achievements. Most of their victories were of narrow margin. They failed to dominate over the opponents that they used to do for the last few seasons.

Well, it is true that they were not as dominant as they were supposed to do. However, you need to take some points into account before assessing their performance so far this season. Chelsea did not face as much injury woes in the last few seasons as they have faced this season. Moreover, when their African stars were out on international duty in African Nations Cup, Chelsea were missing eight of their regular players. So, it was expected that Chelsea would badly be affected during that time. However, Avram Grant successfully led his side during that time and it is really their achievement that they did not lose anything so far in the tournament. So, playing boring football should not be concern thinking off the situation Chelsea went though.

With all those African stars coming back and the injured players returning to action, time has come to see some classy football from Chelsea. There is a busy schedule ahead of Chelsea in home and abroad. So, you can expect a stronger Chelsea from now on. Let us see if Chelsea comes back with their imperious form.
