Michael Essien Trying to Bring Ghana Team Mate Anthony Annan in Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is pushing his club to recruit his Ghana team mate Anthony Annan, who has impressed with his performance in the ongoing African Nations Cup 2008 competition. Annan is now playing in IK Start, a Norwegian club, and Chelsea is also interested to include Anthony Annan. They are trying to contract with Start in order to have him at the Stamford Bridge.

Mirror reported:

And big pal Essien, who started at the same Hearts of Oak club in Accra, is pushing his Blues bosses to take on the 21-year-old.

Now Chelsea are taking no tice, especially with Annan available at around £1million.

Chelsea is now in the third place of the league point table. They are still in the title race. So, an in-form player like Anthony Annan would boost up Chelsea in their charge for the title race. However, I am not sure if it is possible to sign Anthony Annan this season, but even he will be helpful for Chelsea in the next season.
