Arsenal to Miss Eduardo for Nine Months

Arsenal striker Eduardo has been released from hospital recently. The striker suffered a broken leg during his side’s 2-2 stalemate against Birmingham City. Being tackled hardly by Martin Taylor, the Croatian international immediately left the field and rushed to hospital soon after the incident. With the injury of his left leg, Eduardo is expected to be out of action for nine months meaning he will miss Arsenal’s remainder of the season and most importantly his country’s EURO 2008 competition. Croatian football association also revealed their disappointment with the injury of Eduardo.

Times Online reported:

Eduaro will miss Croatia's Euro 2008 and is expected to be out of action for nine months.

Vlatko Markovic, president of the Croatian Football Association, said the loss of Eduardo would be sorely felt by the national team.

Arsenal has a three point lead at the top of premier league. They have some busy fixtures ahead of them. So, Arsene Wenger will miss the striker very much as they have only few strikers fit in the line up. Now, let us see if Wenger can cope up with the situation successfully.
