Tatiana Golovin reached the second round of Australian Open in the first day of the tournament. The French needed three sets to outperform Stephanie Cohen-Aloro 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. The 13th seed, Golovin could not claim the victory easily over her countrywomen. It was, in fact, an all French match. Tatiana Golovin needs to face another Frenchwomen, Aravane Rezai, in the second round match.
Golovin is now 20 and she is considered as one of the future stars of tennis. Though it should not be fair to expect more from Golovin right now as she is still inexperienced in the circuit, she has the skill to achieve more than what she achieved yet. Now, let us see how far Tatiana Golovin can go in Australian Open 2008 tournament.
