Novak Djokovic in Australian Open Tennis 2008

Novak Djokovic is one of the most promising rising stars of Men’s tennis. He is considered as one of those few players who could pose a threat to the dominance of Roger Federer. The Serbian has already started to show his talent and skill in the big stages of tennis. The year 2007 was more than a breakthrough for Djokovic as he marked his best grand slam performances in all of the four grand slam tournaments. He could not win any grand slam, but reached the semi final of French Open and Wimbledon and made it to the final of U.S. Open.

Many tennis specialists have seen a future great in him. That is logical too. He has already proven him as an all court player. In an interview, Novak Djokovic has revealed that he always plays with lot of confidence.

Tennis-x.com reported:

You know, I'm motivated. I'm playing with a lot of confidence. You know, I started playing well here in Australia. I played the Hopman Cup, though. It's a prestigious tournament, but still I won my four matches. I feel confident. I made some couple of changes. I changed my strings.

You know, it's always on the start of the season, the players are trying to get used to a new things. You know, you always try something new. You always try to improve. So I think I improved on a couple of things, elements in my game, which I was planning to do with my coach. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Djokovic should not have any problem to reach the fourth round, where he is likely to face Marcos Baghdatis. His most probable quarter final opponent could be David Nalbandian or David Ferrer. In the semi final, he might face Roger Federer. So, making it to the final could be a special performance for this youngster. However, even a semi final appearance will be considered as a satisfactory performance for Novak Djokovic.
