Justine Henin to Face Maria Sharapova in The Quarter Final of Australian Open 2008

Justine Henin continued her impressive run with another straight sets victory in Australian Open 2008. Hein defeated Su-Wei Hseih from Taiwan 6-2, 6-2 in the fourth round and thus Henin set up a mouth-watering clash with Maria Sharapova in the quarter final. Actually, Justine Henin has been in an imperious form so far in the tournament.

Henin did not face any strong challenge from her fourth round opponent as she defeated the Taiwanese easily. Though Henin faced some challenges in the early in the first set, there was not any doubt about the result of the match.

Setanta Sports reported:

Henin has yet to drop a set in Melbourne but she was given an early scare as Su-Wei broke early on. However, the Belgian did not panic and broke back immediately before grabbing another break in the fifth game to move 3-2 in front.

Both Maria Sharapova and Justine Henin have not lost any set so far in the tournament. This is enough to realize their form and confident. However, ahead of the blockbuster clash, Justine Henin has the favor of record book as it says that, Henin won six out of her eight meetings against Maria Sharapova. However, it does not mean that the Belgian will do the same thing once again without facing any challenge.

Justine Hein vs Maria Sharapova is perhaps going to be the first math between two top five players in Australian Open 2008. It is really very tough to predict anything beforehand, when it comes to such a high profile match. Moreover, both of them are in imperious form ahead of the match. What I guess is that tennis world is going to experience a memorable match on Tuesday.
