England vs Switzerland: Fabio Capello Might Give Beckham 100th Cap against Switzerland

That is good news for David Beckham and his fans. Newly appointed coach of England, Fabio Capello has indicated that David Beckham could get his 100th cap for England in the next month’s friendly against Switzerland. The former Real Madrid manager has asked his staffs to confirm about the fitness level of David Beckham, who is now practicing with Arsenal to keep his fitness level up ahead of the match.

The Independent reported:

The contact was made by Capello's fitness coach Massimo Neri who also worked under Capello and with Beckham in the 32-year-old's final season at Real Madrid last year. Neri has spoken to the Arsenal fitness coach Tony Colbert to get an idea of the state of Beckham's fitness ahead of Capello's first England squad announcement which is expected to come next Friday.

However, Capello has not yet hinted anything about his plans ahead of the match against Switzerland, which is set to be held on 6 February. He could not even talk to the players individually, though he could manage to see the players during the league matches. David Beckham is currently playing for L.A. Galaxy in America and since then he became irregular since then. However, his performance was not satisfactory last season. Now, it is yet to see if David Beckham wins a place in the match against Switzerland.
