Australia vs India Twenty20: David Hussey Called up for the Twenty20 Squad

David Hussey is the new face of Australia’s twenty20 squad for the upcoming twenty20 match at MCG. The match will be held on 1 February. David Hussey’s brother Michael Hussey has already proven his talent and has been representing Australia in both test and ODI formats of cricket. Now, David Hussey is in the queue.

David was handed the place in the squad following his superb domestic form for Victoria, He has been the second highest run scorer in the recently held domestic twenty20 tournament with 237 runs. Now, after the era of Waugh brothers, the Hussey brother are going to be the first pair of siblings to represent Australia in international cricket together, if Daivd is selected for the final line up.

The 30-year-old Victorian finished the recent domestic Twenty20 competition as the second highest run-scorer with 237 runs in six matches.

If selected, Hussey and brother Michael will become the first brothers to represent Australia since Mark and Steve Waugh.

Well, Australian fans will be happy if they get another talented pair of brothers like Mark Waugh and Steve Waugh. However, it would not be fair to predict anything, because David Hussey is yet to prove his form in the international cricket. He has to prove his from in the first place and then go step by step to win his place in the ODI and test squad. So, it is a long way yet to go for David Hussey and that is why, the first he can pray now for is to get chance in the first eleven of Australia’s twenty20 squad. Even if he is not given a chance in the twenty20 match, he should be given a chance in the CB series.
