Arsenal vs Newcastle United Premier League: Joey Barton to Come Back

Football fans are going to see Arsenal and Newcastle Untied facing each other for the second time within a week as the two will meet in the league clash on Tuesday, following Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle Untied in the fourth round FA Cup match at the Emirates stadium. Now, Kevin Keegan boys need to revitalize themselves ahead of the match against Arsenal.

Newcastle Untied will get midfielder Joey Barton available for the match. However, he would not be in the starting line up as coach hinted to keep him among the substitutes. Barton was keen to be back in the starting line up, however, coach Keegan decided not to bring him in the starting line up considering Joey Barton’s long way traveling to join the training.

Telegraph reported:

Joey is fit and wants to play but has not had any matches," Keegan told the club's official website.

"He is travelling a long way to train and I have explained to him why he won’t be involved until the picture becomes a little bit clearer. He understands that and there’s no problem."

"He has worked really hard in training and I do believe that we will make a plus out of a minus,” he added. “It’s not been a good time for him but if we can draw a line under this we can turn it into a positive."

However, Newcastle Untied will not get their Australian striker Mark Viduka against Arsenal as he needs some more time in order to recover fully from his injury. The major concern of Newcastle Untied is that their star players are now out of form. Michael Owen has not been impressive throughout the season. With 2 goals from 15 matches, Owen is ye to get his from back since his move to Newcastle United from Real Madrid. The fans of Newcastle United are eagerly waiting to see an in from Owen, which could change their overall performance.
