USA vs England Preview and Online Live Score: Women’s World Cup 2007

USA vs England quarter final match of Women’s world cup 2007 will take place at the Tianjin Olympics Center Stadium on 22 September. USA is the one of the most favorite teams to win the title of Women’s world cup 2007. You know that USA is the only team who has won the women’s world cup title for two times in the past. This is the fifth edition of Women’s world cup and USA won the two of the four previous tournaments. So, you can easily realize that how much domination USA has in the women’s football. Though they could not win the world cup title last time in 2003, USA is favorite this time to win their third Women’s world cup in China.

On the other hand, England is not a big team in the women’s football and they do not have any impressive track record in women’s world cup. England first took part in 1995 Women’s world cup and got into the quarter final in their debut tournament. However, they could not continue their impressive performance in next two competitions as they failed to qualify for the final competition of women’s world cup.

USA is definitely favorite in the tournament but it is also true that USA could not show their dominating attitude yet in this world cup. USA players do not seem so impressive in this world cup. Though they could manage to qualify for the quarter final being the champion in their group, they could barely come up with their previous glory.

First of all, USA made an ordinary draw against North Korea in the first match. If that 2-2 draw was not enough revelation of their ordinary performance then it was against Nigeria in the last match that clearly showed that USA players were not up to the mark. USA could clinch a 1-0 victory against Nigeria. USA won their second match against Sweden by 2-0. Now, USA has to face England in quarter final. I think, England throw a strong challenge to USA in the upcoming quarter final match.

England is playing like a favorite team in this tournament though they were not expected to do so well before the start of Women’s world cup 2007. Naturally, England is now confident enough to achieve something special from this competition. England started with a 2-2 draw against Japan in their first group stage match. Then in the second match, England has come up with a surprise draw against defending champion Germany. England showed their ability in this match making a goal less draw against Germany. The third match was something special for the England fans as their team could claim a superb 6-1 victory over Argentina.

USA and England match is now the centre of all attention. England fans are hoping to see their players continuing their success against USA too. On the other hand, USA fans expect to see their players winning their third world cup title in China. So, no doubt, a competitive match is waiting for the football fans of the world.

England striker Kelly Smith is now in good form. She has already scored four goals in the tournament so far and at this moment she is the second highest goal scorer in Women’s world cup 2007. So, no doubt, England expects another impressive performance form this striker. On the other hand, USA striker Abby Wambach is also playing very well in this tournament with scoring three goals so far in Women’s world cup 2007. USA supporters will be happy to see Abby Wambach continuing her excellent performance against England.

I do not want to make any prediction beforehand because both teams seem to strong enough to present with a classic match. However, USA is favorite in the match and they will try to dominate over England from the very beginning. England will try their best to cause another upset against USA. I think, USA vs England match will be a classic one in Women’s world cup 2007.

Now, the big question is that who will win the match. It is like a million dollar question. England fans think it is England whereas USA supporters believe USA will win the match. If you want to know exactly then just wait till the match finishes. Let us first enjoy the match.
