New Zealand vs Pakistan Preview and Live Score: Twenty20 World Cup

New Zealand vs Pakistan semi final match of Twenty20 world cup will also be held at the
Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town on 22 September. Supporters of both New Zealand and Pakistan are now waiting for this match. Both teams, no doubt, will try their best to dominate over the opponent in order to get into the final of the tournament. As winning the title is now just two matches away, both New Zealand and Pakistan will try to make the best use of this chance.

Pakistan started their Twenty20 world cup in style defeating Scotland in their first match. However, they lost to rival Indian in the second one. However, in super eight stage, Pakistan won all three matches. Pakistan is the only team who won all of the super eight matches. So, no doubt, this young Pakistani side is now confident to continue their impressive performance in the last two matches of the tournament. However, New Zealand is a balanced side. I think, New Zealand has the best chance to win the title of Twenty20 world cup.

New Zealand also started their Twenty20 world cup with sheer dominance. In the first match, New Zealand defeated Kenya by 9 wickets. However, in the second match they suffered a crushing 7 wicket lose to Sri Lanka. With some solid hard hitters, New Zealand side looks very impressive but what they need is to continue their success in big matches. New Zealand started their super eight stage with a 10 run victory over India. Their second match against England was also a close match where they won by just 5 runs. So, New Zealand was expected to enter into the semi final round with no doubt. Their lose to South Africa in the last match that led them to go though a complex calculation of run rate. However, it was India who played a big part for New Zealand defeating South Africa by 37 runs and thus New Zealand could ensure their semi final entrance. It is true that New Zealand sometimes lacks consistency and they slip of in the big matches. So, New Zealand players should perform consistently if they want something special from Twenty20 world cup.

On other hand, Pakistan has impressed with their superb performance in this tournament. Except their lose to India in bowl out, Pakistan has succeeded in every other matches of the tournament. I think, Pakistan team is a combination of youth and experienced players. That is why, they have a good balance in the squad. Though Pakistan lost their strike bowler Shoaib Akhter just before the tournament, Pakistan got two surprise performer- Sohail Tanvir and Misbah-ul-Haq. Specially Misbah-ul-Haq is playing tremendously in this tournament. Coming in to the squad as the replacement of Shoaib Akhter, Sohail Tanvir has impressed with his tremendous batting. Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Mohammad Asif, Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez can be vital for New Zealand.

New Zealand also has some impressive performers and hard hitters. First of all, Craig McMillan is playing very well in this tournament. Ross Taylor also played some excellent innings with sheer dominance over the opponent bowlers. Peter Fulton, Brendon McCullum and Nathan McCullum are also famous for their big hits. New Zealand has two quality all rounders who always keep New Zealand ahead of their opponents. So, Jacob Oram and Scott Styris are expected to be vital against Pakistan with their gentle pace bowling and bit hitting batting. However, Captain Daniel Vettori played a big part in the success of New Zealand in this world cup yet. With his left arm spin bowling, he has proved that bowlers can get success in Twenty20 cricket besides batsmen.

I am not interested to give any prediction regarding the result of the match because both teams are balanced. They play same level of cricket. In addition, in Twenty20 format of cricket, it is really very hard to make an prediction beforehand as it is full of uncertainty. So, I just hope to see a competitive match where fans will get sheer amount of excitement. I think, you also hoe the same.
