This is something special Anna Chakvetadze because US Open 2007 semi final will be her first ever semi final appearance in any grand slam tournament. Anna Chakvetadze defeated Israeli opponent Shahar Pe'er in two direct sets. Shahar Pe'er was excellent in US Open 2007 and she became the first Israeli female to reach at the quarter final of US Open.

Anna Chakvetadze won the match in style by 6-4, 6-1. After the match, Chakvetadze said that she was aggressive in the match and won the match. Actually, Anna Chakvetadze is playing very well in this year.

ABC News:
"I just started to play more aggressive," Chakvetadze said.
Simple as that.
"That's why Anna is a top-10 player she's playing really good tennis the last few months," Peer said, "and I think it's just a matter of time (until) I will get there."
