Twenty20 World Cup: Ricky Ponting Hopeful About Australia

Australian team suffered a lot of criticism after losing the opening match in Twnety20 World Cup. However, Australian team has played excellent in the next two matches. Australia defeated England yesterday and today, Australia thrashed Bangladesh in the super eight stage. So, now, Australian captain Ricky Ponting is confident about his team.

BBC published his reaction:

"We had a few too many extras with the bowling - a few wides and a few no-balls - and we can tighten that up a little bit. But the guys at the top of the order are looking good again so everything's heading the right direction for us.

"The way we've played in the last two games, hopefully we can keep building on that. We've got a couple of bigger games coming up, so we'll get a bit more of a gauge of how we're going."

Australia has been dominating World cricket for a long time. Many people thought that Australia may not dominate Twenty20 World Cup. It seems that Ricky Ponting and his team mates are determined to prove them wrong.
