India vs Scotland Twenty20 world Cup 2007: Dhoni Gets the Teammates Beside Him

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is getting the support of his teammates ahead of the Twenty20 world cup 2007. India will play their first match against Scotland on 13 September. India’s newly appointed captain, Dhoni has a big responsibility for India in the tournament. So, naturally there is huge pressure on him. He has to play a big part with his hard hitting batting and has to manage all the things in the field.

NDTV reported:
"He has a good cricketing mind. We have to support him. He is a thinker of the game and is enthusiastic behind the stumps. We hope to do well under his captaincy," said Virender Sehwag, member, Indian Twenty20 Team.
"Being a wicket-keeper, he has a natural advantage. He can read which way the game is going," added Irfan Pathan, member, Indian Twenty20 Team.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is famous for his hard hitting batting which is badly needed for Twenty20 cricket. So, Indian fans expect to see a series of lofted shots from his willow during the tournament. After the match against Scotland, India will play their last group stage match against their arch rival Pakistan in the tournament. However, now India has to think about the match against Scotland. Scotland is definitely underdog in the tournament. However, India should not take Scotland lightly remembering their last ICC world cup performance where India had to suffer an early exit being lost to Bangladesh.

I think, the support of the teammates will help Dhoni to face the challenge of the tournament. So, Dhoni can feel himself lucky that he got some excellent teammates. Now, let us see how far Dhoni can guide India in Twenty20 World Cup 2007.
