India vs Pakistan Twenty20 World Cup Venue: Kingsmead, Durban

India vs Pakistan match will be held at the Kingsmead, Durban in South Africa. The match will start on 14 September. Pakistan has started their Twenty20 world cup 2007 in style defeating Scotland by 51 runs. India will play their first match tonight. India vs Pakistan match is always something special to the cricket fans. So, the fans are now waiting for the match. This will be the first India vs Pakistan match this year and also the first match in Twenty20 format. So, the attraction of the match has been skyrocketed among the fans.

As a venue Kingsmead has a long history. The venue first hosted test match in 1923. South Africa played against England. Surrounding environment is very comfortable. The stadium is situated in the centre of Durban. As the stadium stands near the sea sore the climate is always humid and wind is available in the ground. That is why, fast bowlers get some advantages in this stadium.

So, Pakistani pacers can feel happy that there are some extra edges for the pace bowlers at Kingsmead stadium. However, Twenty20 is just a 40 over match and wind factor will have little impact on the match. For Irfan Pathan it will be a grand chance to prove himself once again. So, I hope, India vs Pakistan match will be a classic one in Twenty20 world cup 2007.
