US Open 2007: Roger Federer about Rafael Nadal

Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal is becoming one of the classic rivalries in modern tennis. Of course, Federer has much better record in the recent years but you have to remember that Rafael Nadal is a young man and he has still some years to show his skill. Roger Federer has faced in a number of times in the finals of different Tennis tournaments in the last few years. However, Federer is not unhappy that he is facing Nadal so frequently in the finals of major Tennis tournaments.

Reuters reported:

Nadal ended any hope of a Federer grand slam by beating him in the French Open final and pushed him to five sets in the final at Wimbledon. The Swiss had no doubts about who will be his main rival over the next two weeks.

"Even though now people talk about (Novak) Djokovic, for me Nadal is better, a lot better to be honest," Federer told Reuters in an interview.

"If I don't win the U.S. Open I expect him to win it."

It is nice to see that Federer has a lot of respect for Nadal. Nadal is a talented tennis player and only he is putting some kind of resistance against the all out dominance of Roger Federer.
