U.S. Open 2007 Draw Held

U.S. Open 2007 tournament is now just a few days away. This will be the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. US Open 2007 will be started from 27 August and finish on 9 September. This prestigious tournament will be held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows, New York. Roger Federer is the current champion in Men’s singles whereas Maria Sharapova is the Women’s singles champion. Roger Federer would be the first man in the Open Era to win the four consecutive U.S. Open championships.

Recently the draw of the tournament has been held at the Empire stare building. Roger Federer and Andy Roddick are drawn in the same section.

Drawn in the top quarter, Andy joins an accomplished section which includes World Number 1 Roger Federer, the towering Ivo Karlovic, feisty Spaniards Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez along with American Hopefuls John Isner, Robert Kendrick and Donald Young.

U.S. Open 2007 now seems to be very exciting and will have a great attraction among the tennis fans. It would be nice to see some of the rivalries between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova and Williams sisters etc.
