It was the first match in Europe for Arsenal without Henry. Arsenal did pretty well and won the match against Sparta Prague 2-0 in the third qualifying round of UEFA Champions League 2007-08. The match took place in Prague. So, you can easily understand that Arsenal will play in the second leg in their home stadium on 29 August and Arsenal will have a comfortable advantage in the match. Thus, today, many Arsenal fans feel comfort that their team is going to play in Champions League in this season. Of course, upsets can happen and Sparta Prague may beat Arsenal convincingly in the next match. Well, most Arsenal fans would not be too much worried now about this matter.

In this match, Sparta Prague players played rough and tough. In other words, they were physical and it effected Arsenal players. In the first half, Arsenal did not play so well but in the second half Arsenal got the two goals.

BBC reported:

Arsenal struggled for fluency at times and almost conceded on nine minutes when Jan Rezek's volley hit the post.

And the Gunners barely threatened early on as fouls outnumbered chances.

But Fabregas slotted in from the edge of the box on 72 minutes and Hleb put the finishing touch to a counter-attack on 90 minutes to seal the victory.
