India vs England 1st ODI: England Bowling

Earlier I wrote about the England batting line up ahead of the first match of the ODI series between India and England will be held at Rose Bowl in 21 August. Now, in this article I am writing about the bowling side of England team.

England bowlers performance in test was not so satisfactory but in some innings they could show their ability to the star batsmen of Indian team. Especially in the first test, English bowlers played very well. Now, in ODI series, English bowlers have to deliver some good spells to win the series. I think, James Anderson and Captain Paul Collingwood will be vital for the English batsmen. In English condition, Paul Collingwood is more likely to shine. Medium pacer Stuart Broad has ability to do well in the ODI series.

Left arm spinner Monty Panesar can also play a vital role with some good deliveries. Though English condition typically does not support spinner and Indian batsmen play the spinners very well, I think, Panesae still can be vital for Rahul Dravid’s team.

English fans will surely want to see some happy moments in ODI series in order to forget the bad experience of test series. Now, it is the responsibility of all English players to give some opportunities to the fans to celebrate.
