Marion Bartoli Projected a Superb Victory against Justine Henin in the Semi-final of Wimbledon 2007

Tennis world has been stunned to see a new Marion Bartoli in the semifinal of the Women’s singles of ongoing Wimbledon 2007. Bartoli could win the semi final against the current no. 1 ranked Justine Henin by 1-6, 7-5, 6-1. The match was not a one-sided match and Henin started superbly. Henin won the first set within 22 minutes. Till then no body could think that what was waiting to the fate of this super interesting match. If you think that the first set was very one-sided then you have to say that the second set was full of excitement as the score shows 7-5. In the second set there were some ups and downs seen from both Bartoli and Henin. Bartoli was ahead of Henin by 3-1 in the second set. However, the Belgian star Justine Henin came back to the match by winning three consecutive games in the second set. The rest of it was the story of Bartoli as she could win the set by 7-5.

The last set was the reversal of first set as in both occasions the score line is same- 6-1. However, the winner was different. In the last set Bartoli was 5-0 at one point. Then Henin won a game but that was not enough to avoid her disappointing lose to Marion Bartoli. In the final of Wimbledon 2007, Marion Bartoli will meet Venus Williams.
