The Masters Golf Tournament: Brett Wetterich and Justin Rose in the Lead

What no Tiger Woods! I am not worried for him. He knows how to bounce back.

So, who's in the driver's seat?

Heading the charge are fellows who haven't been at Augusta National enough times to know that, hey, this Masters thing is supposed to be really hard.

Brett Wetterich, a Masters rookie, and Justin Rose, playing in his third Masters, shot 3-under-par 69s to share the first-day lead. Joining them in red numbers were four others (David Howell, Zach Johnson, Vaughn Taylor, J.J. Henry) who have three or fewer Masters appearances under their belts.

Ignorance is bliss. Wetterich was asked if he talked with others about how difficult it is to play in the Masters as a rookie.

How is that?
