South American Football is famous for Artistic football. Footballers like Maradona, Pele added an extra dimension to football to reach this game to the highest pick. Present players from this region hold their traditional football. I found some of those artists of this generation who are playing over the world.

Adriano
Adriano is one of the famous footballers of Brazil. He is now playing in the Intalian club Inter Milan. He started his career with Flamengo in 2000. He won the Fifa U-17 world Championship with Brazil in 1999. He joined Inter Milan in 2001 and then after playing on load in different clubs, he again joined Inter Milan in 2004. In 2004 he won Copa America in Peru with Brazil and became the highest goal scorer and best player of the tournament. H showed his talent in 2005 Confederations cup where he was also the highest goal scorer with his 5 goals which helped Brazil to win the cup and received the Golden Boot as the Player of the tournament. Adriano played in the 2006 world cup where he scored 2 goals. He scored 25 goals in his 36 appearances for Brazil.
Carlos Tevez
Apache nicknamed this Argentine footballer is a famous forward. He started his professional football career with famous club Boca Juniors where Argentine Great Maradona played. Tevez won gold medal in Olympic Games in 2004 for his country. He won the Olympic Golden Boot for his 8 goals in the tournaments in 2004. He has been South American Player of the Year for consecutive three times from 2003-2005. He played in the 2006 world cup for Argentina. After a mysterious transfer he has recently joined in the English club West ham United.
Lionel Messi
Messi is one of the top young players of the world at present. This potential player is compared with the legend Maradona. He started his club career with FC Barcelona in 2004. He is given the Spanish citizenship in 2005. He showed his skill in the Fifa U-20 world cup in 2005 where Argentina won the cup by his tremendous performance. He has already won the title for Spanish league for twice and UEFA champions league within his two years of club career with FC Barcelona. He also played in the world cup 2006 and showed some of his magic in his appearances.

Robinho
Robinho is one of the potential footballers of the world. He is compared with the Great Brazilian Pele. He started his professional career with famous club Santos where he played form 2002-2005. He was an integral part of the club and scored 44 goals in his 104 appearances. He joined Real Madrid in 2005 and is still playing there. He played 37 matches for his country including the 2006 world cup. He has an amazing power of speed and dribbling.

Kaka
This talented Brazilian midfielder is now playing in the Italian club A.C. Milan. He joined in this club in 2003. He became the reliable midfielder of A.C. Milan within a short time. He stated his career at 19 with Sao Paolo FC where he played two seasons and could score 23 goals. He helped A.C. Milan to polay in the final of the UEFA Champions league where Milan lost to Liverpool FC in the penalty shootout but he became the best midfielder of that tournament in 2004-05 season. His international career was started against Bolivia in 2002. He was also the member of the champion Brazil team in the 2002 world cup. He won the Fifa Confederations cup in 2005 with Brazil. His major club success came with A.C. Milan while the club won Serie A in 2004. Kaka played well in the 2006 world cup.
AgustÃn Delgado
This famous Ecuador forward is thought to be the greatest footballer of Ecuador. In his club career he played for Barcelona SC for three seasons. He scored the first world cup goal for his country in the 2002 Korea- Japan world cup against Mexico. He also became the highest goal scorer of the qualifying round of that world cup. He played 70 matches where he scored for 31 times. Delgado also played in the 2006 world cup.
Ronaldinho
The present Fifa World Footballer of the year, Ronaldinho has been a legend in the history of the football according to many football analysts. He won this Fifa World Footballer of the Year for twice. He is now playing for FC Barcelona and after joining to this club in 2003 he led the club to win UEFA Champions league and two consecutive Spanish leagues. Hi debut match was against Venezuela in 1999 Copa America tournament. He was one of the 3’R’ of Brazil 2002 world cup team and he led to the win against England in the quarterfinal with his goal through his trademark and famous free kick. He won 2002 world cup with Brazil. He also won Confederations cup and Copa America for twice. He also played in the world cup 2006 but he could not show any of his magic in the tournament.
Javier Saviola
Javier Saviola has experience of more than 8 years of professional football. He played well in World Cup 2006 for Argentina and in Spanish league he is now playing for FC Barcelona. Saviola is only 24 years old and his best is yet to come. He is famous for his speed. Last season, he was on loan at FC Sevilla and he performed very well. If he gets opportunity he will shine this season. He is a very good striker.
Roberto Ayala
This Argentine Central Back plays in the Spanish club Valencia. Ayala joined in the club in 2000. He won Spanish league for twice and UEFA champions league. He won the Olympic Games trophy in 2004 with Argentina. He also played in the world cup 1999 and 2006. He was born in Parana on 14 April 1973. He has been the first choice for the palce Central Back position in both of his club and Argentina.
Rafael Marquez
Rafael Marquez is from Mexico. He is 27 years old and 6 feet tall. He plays for FC Barcelona. Rafael Marquez played an important part in helping Barcelona to win the Spanish Championship in 2005. He is an influential player in the Barcelona team and perhaps the most important player for Mexico now.
