US Open 2007: Andy Roddick Gets into Fourth Round

Fifth seed Andy Roddick defeated Swedish Thomas Johansson in his third round match. Thus Andy Roddick has reached at the fourth round of the ongoing US Open 2007. Andy Roddick is one of the favorites in US Open 2007. Roddick won the match by 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. So, you can easily understand that this top seed American is now in good form. In the match, Roddick did not give any chance to his Swedish opponent.

New Day reported:
"My coach just told me to hit the ball," Roddick said of Jimmy Connors, in his day the working-man's hero of tennis. Roddick obliged, whaling away at whatever Johansson offered up, crushing 41 winners (with only 11 unforced errors) and 19 aces (without a double fault).

Andy Roddick won his only grand slam title in 2003 US Open. So, he will definitely try to win his second grand slam at his home soil. It is worthless to say that Andy Roddick had potential to win more grand slam tournaments in his career but unfortunately he could not live up to the expectation. Still, I think, Roddick has chance to bounce back and show his real talent to the world. Roddick fans are now waiting to see it in this tournament.
