Rugby World Cup 2007: Schedule of Tonga

Rugby world cup 2007 is going to start from 7 September 2007. Fans are now excited to see their stars in France. Players are busy with their last minute preparation. Coaches are making their strategies. Defending champion England is going to face strong challenge from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and France. All of these six teams are favorites to win the Rugby world cup 2007 title.

Tonga is not a big name in world rugby. Tonga is going to play their fifth world cup tournament in France. Tonga could took part in four world cup competition so far. However, they could never make it to the quarter final stage. This time in France, they are going to play in Pool A where they have face defending champion England and 1905 rugby world up champion South Africa. So, it worthless to say that Tonga will not be able to qualify for the quarter final stage in France. However, they can do better against Samoa and USA. Tonga has recently unveiled their world cup squad. Inoke Afeaki is perhaps the most capped player of the squad as the upcoming world cup will be his third world cup. Inoke Afeaki played in 1995 and 2003 world cup beforehand. Some other senior members of the team are Ephraim Taukafa, Viliami Vaki, Pierre Hola, Tevita Tu’ifua and Sukanaivalu Hufanga.
