Robin van Persie: Can he Return on Early April?

Robin van Persie is the top striker for Holland national team and he is also the best striker that Arsenal has got. It is the back luck of Arsene Wenger that Robin van Persie got injured at the early part of the season and the club is missing him a lot. His presence would have surely benefited a lot for the London based club. It was earlier thought that he would be out of action until the end of the season. Now, there is some hope that he can make a comeback in early April.

Only a few days ago, Wenger said that van Persie might be out until the end of April. So, he will be surely very happy with this news.

Arsenal has been playing in 4-3-3 formation so far this season and it seems that the Gunners have adapted to the new style pretty well and has produced some impressive performances. Most specifically, Dutch striker Robin van Persie has been in revelation this season, netting 7 goals and setting up 6 goals in his 10 premier league appearances so far. Manager Arsene Wenger is also very happy with Netherlands international who has very quickly settled himself in Arsenal’s new style.

Arsenal is currently in the 3rd place in the premier league with Chelsea leading the table. Following two back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Manchester City earlier this season, many thought that Arsenal’s title hope was over. However, the Wenger boys have bounced back and are now very much in the title run. Their recent performance has brought their title hope back on track and it seems that Arsenal has a very good possibility of ending their title drought this season.

Arsenal Striker Robin van Persie to Demand £80,000 Per Week Wages

Arsenal’s Dutch striker Robin van Persie will ask for a £80,000 per week deal when talks over his contract extension begin. The News of the World has released the news recently, but nothing from the player has been confirmed in this regard yet. Arsenal started negotiation with the striker’s agent for a new contract two months back, but it was postponed amid an internal problem in the club. Now, talks over contract extension are expected to resume very soon and Robin van Persie might launch his demand for a £80,000 per week once the talks begin once again. Arsenal is interested to extend his contract until 2013.

The Dutch international has been a regular member Arsenal first team, and along with Emmanuel Adebayor, he is one of two prime strikers in the club at this moment. He is very young and is improving day by day. So, Robin van Persie can offer his best football for a number of seasons at the Emirates Stadium. I think, Arsenal should keep this talented striker for the coming seasons.

Robin van Persie Happy as Eduardo Returns to Action at Arsenal

Eduardo da Silva is very close to make his Arsenal come back as the Croatian striker has recovered from his horrendous broken leg and recently appeared for Arsenal reserve in a 2-0 win over Portsmouth reserve. Though he played for 45 minutes, Eduardo’s return to action is big news for the fans and his team mates. Striker Robin van Persie is very much happy to see Eduardo on the way back in action.

“He is fine. He has been working really well with Tony Colbert. For him, it has been a really long way,” van Persie told Arsenal TV. “I have spent some time on the sidelines, so I know how it feels. You need to take it step by step and he is doing that. He is coming into our sessions quite often lately and last week he had a few finishes that were just like the Eduardo from nine months ago.

Eduardo suffered a severe injury last season when he was playing at his prime and there are many who think Arsenal’s failure to win the premier league title last season was due to Eduardo’s injury. Anyway, I am not sure whether Eduardo can come back with the match against Liverpool, but Arsene Wenger can feel some relief thinking that he has now a number of options at hand to form his attacking line up.
