Review of Asus EEE PC 1215B Mini-Laptop

Asus has recently showcased 12.1-inch EEE PC 1215B mini-laptop which is all set to go on sale in April. It has come up with some attractive features including a 12.1-inch LED backlit display, providing 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a very good GPU.

The netbook features 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 320 GB of storage. Users can choose from three AMD processors: a single core power-saving AMD C-30, AMD C-50 and AMD E-350 dual-core processors. Most importantly, Asus EEE PC 1215B netbook comes up with integrated AMD Radeon HD graphics which would enable users to enjoy 3D graphics and 1080p videos.

The netbook weighs 3.2 pounds, and thus, adding to its portability. The machine runs on Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and can work for around 5 hours with a single charge thanks to its 6-cell battery. Besides, the netbook also has important ports including VGA, HDMI, card-reader, one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, and headphone/microphone jacks. It also comes equipped with an integrated webcam for video calling and chat.

Let’s come to price now. Reports available in the media suggest that the netbook would be available for $499 in April, but that version would feature 2GB of memory, instead of 4GB.

Overall, the processor may look to be a downside for the netbook, but then its price and excellent graphics has made it a bargain product.
