Manchester United vs Arsenal Live on Sony Pix TV Channel: FA Cup 2011

Manchester United hosts Arsenal at Old Trafford in the sixth round FA Cup tie on 12 March 2011. A victory in this encounter would not only take the winner to the last four of the competition, but also give them the much-needed mental strength to come out of their recent failures.

Manchester United will go into this match with two back-to-back defeats at Chelsea and Liverpool. So, the Red Devils will now be looking to clinch a confidence-booster victory over Arsenal, and thus, coming back to winning ways.

Similarly, Arsenal, who was chasing all four titles around 15 days back, is now left with 2 competitions to end their trophy drought spanning 6 years. Arsene Wenger boys first lost to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final, and then frustratingly lost to Barcelona 3-1 in the midweek to get out of the Champions League.

Injury is a big concern for both sides. Manchester United will continue to miss Rio Ferdinand and Park, but Antonio Valencia and Nemanja Vidic are reportedly back in contention for Saturday’s clash. Arsenal will miss their talismanic captain Cesc Fabregas who once again suffered a mild hamstring problem against Barcelona. Alex Song, Theo Walcott and Thomas Vermaelen will remain in the sidelines, but striker Robin van Persie who has so far scored 10 goals in 16 Premier League matches is fit to face Manchester United.

Live on Sony Pix Television Channel

The match between Manchester United and Arsenal is going to be covered live on Sony Pix TV channel. Sony Pix is not a mainstream sports channel and it is somewhat unusual for the channel to cover FA Cup. This entertainment channels is mostly focused on movies and does not cover any other football tournament except FA Cup. In fact, the channel is not yet a very popular in India and other South Asian countries. So, it is pretty much understandable that many football fans in this part of the world would not be able to watch this important match live on television.

The match will kick off at 17:15 GMT and 10:45 IST (Indian Standard Time).
