Yahoo! has announced that it was stopping AlleTheWeb from 4 April 2011. From that day, when you search anything there you will be automatically redirected to Yahoo! Search. So, there goes another failure from the company. In the last few years, we have seen several high profile closures from the company and we were not that shocked with the latest one.
It is perhaps a matter of time for Yahoo to shut down business of Delicious. While I agree that AllTheWeb closure was not a bad decision, I do not think that stopping Delicious will be a very wise idea.
As for AllTheWeb, the search engine never really became that big. These days, it was not going anywhere either.
