A study published by Blaze Software revealed that Android phone load mobile webpages quickly than the iPhone. On March 17, 2011, Blaze software published the report.
The study revealed that recent upgrades to the platforms did not bring any significant improvements in page load speed.
According to Blaze CTO, Guy Podjarny, there were no major improvements in “page load times” despite the platforms getting “JavaScript boost.” He said the performance improvements was actually visible in the platform running complex apps not in page load. PC Mag.com reports:
Blaze Software took more than 45,000 measurements on the most recent versions of Android and iOS - Android 2.3 and iOS 4.3 - to see which smartphone had the fastest browser. In a test of 1,000 Web sites, Blaze found that the Android phone, in this case a Google Nexus S, was faster than the iPhone 4 84 percent of the time.
Android 2.3 had a median load time of 2.144 seconds while iPhone’s median load time was 3.254 seconds.
