A Film to be Made Protesting against Liverpool Club Owners

There are many Liverpool fans who believe that the club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are responsible for its current woeful condition. Now, a film is going to be made protesting against the two Americans who failed to run the club firmly.

Liverpool is now under £237.4 million debt and its on-field performance is poor too. Last season, the club failed to clinch a Champions League place and this season they are now just 2 points above the relegation zone.

Now, Liverpool fans are waiting to get rid of the two owners and the film is expected to reflect the views of the club fans. A number of celebrities like Mike Jefferies, Ricky Tomlinson, John Bishop, Samuel L Jackson, Daniel Craig and Ian McCulloch are expected to appear in the film with their views on the mismanagement of the Liverpool owners.

Liverpool fans showed their protest against the owners many times in the past, but Mike Jefferies, an accomplished screenwriter, believes that making a film would be an ‘ideal way’ to express the feelings of the Liverpool fans regarding the owners.

Tom Hicks and George Gillett are interested to sell the club and Chairman Martin Broughton is now in search of a new owner for the club. However, the problem is that its owners still want to make considerable cash in through the selling of the debt-laden club, and thus, making it difficult to find a new owner.
