Daniel Vettori says the upcoming tour series’ in India and Bangladesh will be a perfect preparation for New Zealand

New Zealand skipper, Daniel Vettori, is happy for the upcoming tours of India and Bangladesh later this year. He said that it would give his side to take a perfect preparation ahead of the ICC World Cup 2011.

As India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will host the ICC World Cup 2011, thus these upcoming tour series’ will help New Zealand to get better ideas about South Asian sub-continent.

Daniel Vettori said that his side will get competitive advantage over the other teams during the World Cup after the experience of playing in the three host countries.

Daniel Vettori told this week's edition of the ICC's weekly audio show that they are pretty lucky as a New Zealand team to experience Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India before the World Cup.

These tour games ahead of the World Cup will be a best possible warm-up and any they will be habituated with the weather and game time in the sub-continent that is going to make a huge difference to their chances in the World Cup.

He is now excited about the view of leading his team in the tournament and he has the possibility to be the first New Zealand player to lift the trophy.

The ultimate achievement of New Zealand team is to win the World Cup. Thirty-one-year-old Kiwi skipper and all rounder, Daniel Vettori, is hopeful about the preparations. They have already played in Sri Lanka. Now, they are going to visit Bangladesh to play a five-match ODI series which is scheduled to start from October 5, 2010. Then they will travel to India to play some one-dayers to give them the best preparation leading into such an important tournament.

He believes that New Zealand is a balanced team with the combination of powerful hitters and variation of pace and spin in the attack. He also thinks that their bowling attack is capable of mounting a serious challenge at the tournament.

New Zealand has some world-class players like Brendon McCullum, Jesse Ryder and Ross Taylor. They can lead the team with the bat from the front.

However, they also have some experienced players like Scott Styris, Kyle Mills and Daniel Vettori, who can lead the bowling attack. They are experienced and talented players in New Zealand team.
