Asus unveils Eee PC 1015PEM netbook with Dual-Core

Asus is a well-known consumer electronics company. It is best known for manufacturing laptops or netbooks. This Taiwan-based company has unveiled its first 10-inch netbook, Eee PC 1015PEM. It gets officially announced that it will be available at retailers including Amazon and J&R on September 13, 2010.

It has 10.1-inch display that supports 1024 x 600 resolutions. The Asus Eee PC 1015PEM comes with a 1.5GHz dual core Intel Atom N550 processor. The laptop will be available in four different colors- red, pink, black, and white.

Measuring 10.3″ x 7″ x 1.4″ and weighing 2.8 pounds, the Eee PC 1015PEM will come with Windows 7 Starter Edition and 1GB of RAM. It also features 1 – 2GB DDR3 RAM along with the dual core processor. The dual core processor is much faster than single core Intel ATOM processor netbooks.

It comes with a 250GB or 320GB hard drive capacity as well as 500GB of online storage space thrown in. It means to be an ideal cloud computing tool.

It also includes USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0 technology and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity. The laptop will also have a 0.3MP camera.

It comes with three different battery options: 48Whr, 56Whr, or 63Whr, which are largely depending on the configuration.

There is no information on exactly how much the Eee PC 1015PEM will cost. May be, price will be reasonable so that limited earners can buy it.
