With the aim of spreading and advancing knowledge in medical and health sciences, the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences was established in February 2005 under the Act Of State Government. Students studying in various government colleges can get academic and research facilities provided by the university. It also affiliated private colleges/institutes to this university.
The RUHS is one of the premier universities located in Jaipur.
Taking six government and two private medical colleges under this university initially, it started functioning from April 1, 2006.
It provides medical courses at undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in various disciplines such as Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and B.A.S.L.P through its numerous affiliated colleges/ institutes that are spread across the state.
