Mithun Chakraborty fired guns at Indian Idol 5

After Aamir Khan, Mithun Chakraborty appeared in Indian Idol 5, the popular reality show of Sony Entertainment Television.

The veteran actor appeared in the show wearing a cowboy outfit and in the show, Mithun Chakraborty gave his judgment in a unique style. If he liked the performance of any contestant, he would trigger the gun twice but if he loves the performance of another contender, the gun will triggered once.

Mithun Chakraborty also took Shivam, one of the top five finalists for a drive in his Mercedes. It was Shivam’s wish to travel in a big car as he never rode one.

The episode was telecast on Monday at 9 pm on Monday on Sony Entertainment television.

Mithun Chakroborty is very much excited with his upcoming Bengali movie, Shukno Lanka.

Born on June 16, 1950, Mithun Chakraborty’s original name is Gouranga Chakraborty. Mithun Chakraborty started as an actor by appearing in an arthouse drama movie titled Mrigaya (1976). For his performance he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor.

He then went on playing supporting roles in movies like Do Anjaane (1976) and Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan (1977). These movies did not bring him any recognition.

In the late 1970s, he appeared in a low budget spy movie, Surakshaa (1979) directed by Ravikan Nagaich. Success came to him in 1982 with Disco Dancer. The movie became a cult hit.

  1. the funniest part was taking out Shivam for a drive. We thought he might give him a car-may be Maruti 800.
