Peter Siddle Going back to Australia with Injury

Australian team that is now in India to play a seven-match ODI series against the home side has also lost a number of key players due to injury. Yesterday, Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed that pacer Peter Siddle would also be heading home with left side stiffness. It was also revealed that the injury was not very serious, but the decision was taken as a precautionary measure.

However, captain Ricky Ponting seems to have a contrasting view regarding Siddle’s injury. Today he has revealed that team management is monitoring the condition of the bowler who has been pretty much successful so far in the series. Ponting says that it is not yet decided if the pacer would be sent home or not. Kevin Sims, the physio of Australian team, yesterday said that Siddle would go back home and board medical staff would monitor his condition.

Now, let us see if Peter Siddle can be able to play today’s fifth ODI or head home with the injury.
