Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh attracted interest from Arsenal, Sunderland and West Ham United last Summer, but the likely move to England did not happen that time. However, there is now every possibility the player could move to Manchester United in January as his current contract with the French club Bordeaux comes to an end at the end of the season. Manchester United is clearly tracking the Moroccan striker as their scouts watched him playing last weekend.
Marouane Chamakh was instrumental behind Bordeaux’s title triumph in French league last season and it is pretty much clear that many clubs besides Manchester United would try to acquire the service of the young player. The advantage for the interested club is that as the player’s present deal is very close to finish with the French club, there is a possibility that Chamakh could be landed for a small fee.
