Arsene Wenger: Perform for Club ahead of World Cup 2010

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has asked his young players to deliver their best for Arsenal ahead of World Cup 2010. Wenger thinks that a successful season with Arsenal would set up a perfect preparation for Arsenal’s international stars for the world cup. More than half of the Arsenal players are currently out on international duty.

Arsene Wenger believes the best way for his jet-setting squad to prepare for the World Cup is to first deliver a successful season with Arsenal. Eduardo, Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy, Abou Diaby, William Gallas, Bacary Sagna, Nicklas Bendtner, Emmanuel Eboue, Carlos Vela, Alex Song, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Andrey Arshavin are all out with their respective national teams to take part in world cup 2010 qualifying campaign.

The good news for Arsenal is that Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski are very close to their full recovery and could return to action very soon. Regular goalkeeper Manuel Almunia is also recovering from his chest injury. However, Brazilian international Denilson would be out for few more weeks with his back injury. Wenger boys are going to face Birmingham City next Saturday.
