Argentina vs Uruguay Live Updates: 14 October 2009

It is the time of the biggest match in the career of Diego Maradona as a coach. If his country can win then he will become a national hero for the second time in his life. ON the other hand, if the players fail then more than the players he will face severe criticism. It is natural in football. When a team wins then most of the credit goes to the coach rather than any player. So, naturally, when you lose, the coach is blamed more. Anyway, I would like to inform you about time and venue of the match.

It is going to take place on October 14, 2009 Wednesday and the starting time is 22:00 GMT. It is 03:30 am and 05:00 AM Bangladesh time. A football fan asked us in an earlier entry of this blog that what would be San Diego, California time for the match. I think that it will be 03:00 PM San Diego Time.

So, bad luck for Asian people as the match will take place at dawn time in most of the Asian countries. For European countries, it is ideal as they can enjoy the match before going to sleep.

Now, some words about the venue Estadio Centenario. It is situated in Montevideo which is the capital city of Uruguay. It is considered to be one of the most important stadiums in history of modern football. In the past, 100,000 people could enjoy a match here. Now, the capacity is around 73,000. The stadium hosed the matches of first world cup football in 1930. So, it is a historical stadium. Well, it is considered to be a lucky stadium for Uruguay because the national team has lost very few matches in this stadium.

Maradon will pray that God helps him today in this match. Well, along with him, millions of Argentine fans will pray. So, let us see if their prayer becomes true or not tonight.
