Dhoni Wants the Whole Team Performing with High Confidence

(This entry was originally posted on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009)

India will face New Zealand in the first Twenty20 international tomorrow at Christchurch. There are many who think that India needs a winning start to their New Zealand tour as they believe that it would boost up India’s confidence for the rest of the tour. However, Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni does not think so. When asked about it by the journalists, Dhoni said that the result of the first Twenty20 would not have any impact on the rest of the match and also added that every game was a new game for them.

On the performance of individual players, Dhoni said that he would always be happy to see the whole team performing well, rather than just individual performances. Dhoni also insisted that he would want to see each and every individual was performing with high confidence. India will play two Twenty20 internationals, five ODI and three test matches.
