Celtic vs Arsenal Live Score and Preview: Champions League 2009 Qualifier

It is a match that perhaps can decide the season for Arsenal. If they can win the match and then it'll be very easy for them to advance to the final stage of Champions league and 2009-10. This is a very lucrative thing for any club because getting into the final stage of champions league means a lot of revenue from TV rights and sponsorship. More than everything, it is a matter of pride for the supporters of any club in Europe. So, Arsenal supporters are now praying deeply to god that tomorrow something good happens in Scotland.

On the other hand, Celtic has everything to play for too. Celtic is the top club in Scotland and their supporters are always passionately behind them. They have the largest football stadium in Scotland and whenever they play any match there are 60,000 supporters behind the players. As a result, the club has produced some stunning performances in Champions league matches in their home in the last few seasons. So, the supporters of Celtic will have the same expectations and they will show up and cheer in every possible way to encourage their players. For them, it is very important match because if they can win it then they will be very close to reaching the final stage of champions league this season.

BBC reported:

Defender Danny Fox believes the expectations of the Celtic fans can drive the Glasgow side to victory against Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

Celtic are underdogs going into the Champions League play-off first leg.

"If we don't win the fans won't be happy," Fox told BBC Scotland. "We've got to put on a show, we're playing against one of Europe's best teams.

To most people, Arsenal should be the strong favorite to win the class and go to the next round. In this Saturday, Arsenal defeated Everton by six –one goals and this performance has made them hot favorite for the match against Celtic tomorrow. Everyone is now talking about the performance against Everton. Before the start of the season, most people wrote off arsenal by stating that they do not have enough quality players. On the other hand, coach Arsene Wenger insisted that he is young team has become matches and something good will happen this season. The performance against Everton was excellent but what is important is to repeat it against Celtic.

Arsenal has some big injusry worried for tomorrow. ESPN wrote:

The Gunners have injury doubts over Bacary Sagna, Cesc Fabregas and Denilson, with captain Fabregas given only a 50-50 chance of playing.

Sagna took a knock in Saturday's 6-1 win over Everton while Denilson (groin) and Fabregas (hamstring) will also be assessed before the game, although midfielder Abou Diaby has recovered from a groin injury.

Celtic players will have less pressure as they are the underdogs for the match. They know that if they cannot win the match then they would not suffer too much criticism because arsenal is considered to be one of the top clubs in Europe. Celtic is just considered to be a mediocre team in Europe. However, the players are determined that they would try their best to cause a massive upset. Of course, just winning tomorrow is not enough because the second leg will take place after one week.

Evening Times wrote:

The Parkhead dynamo is desperate to get the nod from Tony Mowbray to start against the Gunners after being a sub in the two games since he returned from his summer ankle surgery.

Brown did get a full game when Scotland lost in Norway last week. And he knows he will have to be in peak condition to compete with Arsenal, but he reckons he is.

And he is confident the rest of the Celtic side are also in prime condition to face the might of Cesc Fabregas and Co.

The match will be live in different TV channels in different parts of the world. Some websites will provide live score and I am giving you names of some of them:
