Sri Lanka Back in International Cricket after Lahore Terror Attack

Sri Lankan cricket team is going to be back in international cricket with the upcoming twenty20 world cup 2009 after the deadly terror attack on their team bus on March 3 in Lahore. The attack left several cricketers and coaching staffs injured and since then, Sri Lanka has not played any international match yet, even though some of their star players took part in the recently concluded IPL 2009.

Sri Lankan team is now totally focused on the twenty20 world cup and is facing a big challenge as Sri Lankan was drawn with Australia and West Indies in a group of death in the tournament. It will not be easy for the Lankan team to reach the super eight becoming one of the top two teams in the group. Captain Kumar Sangakkara is confident his team will do well in the second edition of ICC World Twenty20.
