ICC Chief David Morgan Satisfied with Twenty20 World Cup 2009

ICC president David Morgan is overly delighted with the success of Twenty20 world cup 2009 in England. The tournament experienced 96 percent ticket sales throughout the tournament. Morgan thinks that the idea of organizing men’s and women’s semi finals as well as finals on the same ground on the same day was a huge boost for the women’s cricket because cricket fans experienced double-headers with the same ticket. David Morgan is also happy with the performance of the players.

Well, it was a good decision to organize the men’s and women’s tournaments at the same time, and most importantly, organizing the men’s and women’s semi finals and final on the same day proved pretty much effective. However, I think, the television rating was affected by India’s elimination from the Super Eight stage.
