The first thing that comes to my mind about the country of Kazakhstan is that it is a very large country and the people are crazy about football. Until a few years ago, it used to participate in Asian region football competitions but it changed its continent and joined Europe or UEFA. I think that it was a very smart decision because this way, Kazakhstan football is getting a lot of media coverage that would not have happened if it was a part of Asian football. In fact on the Saturday, It is going to host England in a World Cup qualifying match for 2010.
The outcome of the match does not matter to the host country but for England, it has very serious implications. If England can win the match and then they will be very any hour of a sure place of qualifying for World Cup football 2010. on the other hand, Kazakhstan has nothing to win or lose except that if they can win then it’ll be a historical achievement for them. All the tickets for the match has been already sold and many people in the country are very unhappy that they could not get a ticket.
