Cristiano Ronaldo Joined Real Madrid for Record $131 Transfer Fee

Just a day after the announcement of Real Madrid signing Kaka for a record transfer fee came out, now Real Madrid has broken its own record by signing world’s best footballer Christiano Ronaldo for a whopping $131 million. Reports available in the media suggests that Manchester United has accepted an offer worth $131 million from Real Madrid for the Portuguese winger and Ronaldo is now a Real Madrid player.

Well, it has been reported that Real Madrid has had a pre-contract with Manchester United for Ronaldo and by this contract, Real Madrid must confirm the deal by June 30. Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, whom Florentino Perez succeeded recently, claimed many times that the Portugal international would join Real Madrid and he had worked on his deal during his time at the club. However, the current president Florentino Perez was not very happy with the fee decided for the player and wanted to renegotiate with the English club.

Recently, Real Madrid sent a representative and a doctor to Los Angles, USA to meet Cristiano Ronaldo who is now recovering from his hernia injury. It has also been reported that Real Madrid would pay Ronaldo $400,000 per week, and thus, making him the highest paid player alongside Kaka at Real Madrid.
