BCB Lifts Ban on 14 ICL Players

The ten-year ban imposed on ICL players from Bangladesh has now been lifted by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The decision was made after all the 14-playes who joined ICL last year sought amnesty to BCB terminating their contract with Indian Cricket League (ICL) which failed to get the recognition of ICC.

However, the 14-players including some of the star cricketers like former captain Habibul Bashar, Aftab Ahmed, Shahriar Nafees, Alok Kapali would not be eligible for national team right now. They have to go through a one-year cooling period during which they will be allowed to play domestic cricket prepare themselves for national team.

I just can not understand one thing that why BCB is following BCCI on one-year cooling period when Pakistan Cricket Board has allowed its ICL player Abdul Razzaq to play in the ongoing twenty20 world cup and ICC also gave him the clearance. I just hope that these 14 Bangladeshi players would not face suffer from discrimination any more.
