Younis Khan and Intikhab Alam Seeking Support of Cricket Community

Following the deadly terror attack on Sri Lanka’s team bus on 3 March 2009 near Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan cricket has already received a number of blows. ICC Champions Trophy 2009 was relocated to South Africa, and most importantly, Pakistan has bee dropped as one of the co-hosts of ICC World Cup 2011.


Now, Pakistan captain Younis Khan has said that he would seek supports from the captains of neighboring countries like India and Sri Lanka. He has added that he would sit with Indian and Sri Lankan captains during ICC World Twenty20 2009 in England. Younis Khan will explain the situation of Pakistan and seek help from them.


Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam echoed Younis Khan, stating that Pakistan now needs help from cricket fraternity. He also seeks the support of cricket boards and officials. The former Pakistan leg spinner has also asked cricket community to realize the current condition of Pakistan and come forward to help them.
