Verizon Wireless Employees Hacked Mobile Phone Account of US President Barack Obama

Many people suffered from website and mobile phone hacking in the past. Now, the recent victim of mobile phone hacking is none other than the newly elected U.S. president Barack Obama!

Yes, reports out in the media suggest that the personal mobile phone account of President Barack Obama has been illegally accessed by some employees of Verizon Wireless, one of most popular telecom service provider in America. Lowell McAdam, Verizon Wireless President and Chief Executive, has recently expressed that proper disciplinary action will be taken against those employees of the company for accessing someone else’s personal mobile phone account without his consent.

Times of India reported:

"This week we learnt that a number of Verizon Wireless employees have, without authorisation, accessed and viewed president-elect Barack Obama's personal cellphone account.

"The account has been inactive for several months. The device on the account was a simple voice flip-phone, not a BlackBerry or other smartphone designed for e-mail or other data services," McAdam said.

Verizon Wireless must take proper action against those who did it because this could affect the reputation of the company. It might lead Verizon Wireless to losing consumer confidence, unless then take necessary actions and punish those who committed illegal access to the mobile phone account.
