It is perhaps the best performance of Arsenal in Champions League in many years. The Turkish club is not exactly a top side in Europe but it is often said that Fenerbahce is almost invincible at their home ground. Arsenal is not consistent at all in this season, but I am happy to see that they are doing quite well in Europe. Last night, Arsenal defeated Fenerbahce 5-2. With this win, Arsenal is almost sure to advance to the knock-out stage. What I like about the performance of this London club last night was that it was purely a team effort. Five players got one goal each.
The fans were delighted because it was a very young side and the average age of the players was just 22 years.
