Arsene Wenger Sees Jack Wilshere as a Future Legend of Arsenal
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now delighted with the performance of his young starlet, Jack Wilshere, who got his first goal for Arsenal senior team on Tuesday in Arsenal’s emphatic 6-0 victory over Sheffield United in the Carling Cup showdown. Wenger thinks that Jack Wilshere has the potential to become a legend in Arsenal. The French manager also compared Jack Wilshere with Arsenal legend Liam Brady stating that the young starlet has got good balance and change of direction ability.
However, Arsene Wenger also confirmed that he would not put too much pressure on Jack Wilshere expecting high level of expectation now. Rather, Wenger thinks, the 16-year-old midfielder needs to be taken care of well, stating that he has a responsibility to nurture his skill and talent, and help the player grow as a footballer in the next two to three years. Wenger said that years from 16-19 are very important for the development of a footballer.
Arsene Wenger has reputation for nurturing talent over the years and he has presented a number of star players from Arsenal including Thierry Henry who grew as a footballer under his guidance. Now, let us see if Jack Wilshere can really become a legend of Arsenal in future.
